New stuff

First up, a nice red pecan. I really enjoyed drawing this. Its Polychromos on Stonehenge paper (my favorite combo). Its 4" x 6", and in the shop.

A few WIP shots of how it developed ~

Its so satisfying to finally get to the last layer!

Here is the 'ginger snap cookie rock arch landscape', finished. I purposely did this one more 'illustrative', and had fun putting the little Stonehenge-y bits in the background. This started as one thing, and ended up as this - which is OK. It was all about exploring an idea. (I did a step-by-step in the last post, here.)

And then I finished up the first sets of little square cards. Well, actually, these are the newest incarnation of them. I did these a while back, and had different boxes. I haven't had them in the shop for a long time. But I got fired up about the idea again, and found these cute little take-out boxes, and designed some 'wraps' for them.

These are the 'drawings of knitting' Assorted Holiday Knits ones, which are in my Draw1Knit1 shop. So far these are the only thing in there - there will be more, soon, hopefully!

These are the Assorted Tartan Plaid ones, in my other etsy shop. I'll have more sets as I'm able to them done. I need to hire some elves.

Here's what they look like all packed up in the box.

And here's how they work.

So that's what I've been up to. I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!

I really appreciate your step by step photos, Paula. Your work is so carefully and expertly done. This nut is delightful. I like the way you bring out the special features of the subjects you draw.
